RESEARCH ABOUT THE FOLLOWING ACRONYMS:     

1. DMAT- Disaster Medical Assistance Teams

- Provide high-quality rapid-response medical care when public health and medical emergencies overwhelm state, local, tribal, or territorial resources. In the aftermath of natural and technological disasters, acts of terrorism, and during disease outbreaks, DMAT members are on location protecting health and saving lives.  DMAT members also serve behind-the-scenes to provide medical support at national special security events like the inauguration.

2. EMR- Electronic Medical Record

- Is a digital version of all the information you’d typically find in a provider’s paper chart: medical history, diagnoses, medications, immunization dates, allergies, lab results and doctor’s notes. EMRs are online medical records of the standard medical and clinical data from one provider’s office, mostly used by providers for diagnosis and treatment. Comprehensive and accurate documentation of a patient’s medical history, tests, diagnosis and treatment in EMRs ensures appropriate care throughout the provider’s clinic.

3. CCP- Cloud Certified Professional

- Certifications are formal accreditations that prove proficiency in specific areas of cloud computing. To obtain a certification, candidates are required to pass one or more exams. Some fundamental exams provide credit toward multiple certifications tracks

4. i-NMDS- Nursing Minimum Data Set

- Is a classification system which allows for the standardized collection of essential nursing data. The collected data are meant to provide an accurate description of the nursing process used when providing nursing care.

5. HL7- Health Level 7

- A standard for medical informatics exchange between healthcare providers, it is widely deployed and covers the exchange of information in several functional domains. It is very important and crucial to achieve interoperability in healthcare. This can used hospitals, medical imaging centers, doctors, government clinics, laboratories, care homes, pharmacies, medical research institutions, and medical software and hardware vendors.

6. CCC- Cash Coversion Cycle

- This is a metric that expresses the time that it takes for a company to convert its investments in inventory and other resources into cash flows from sales, and the cash conversion cycle is one of several quantitative measures that help evaluate the efficiency of a company’s operations and management.

7. PHR- Personal Health Records

- A health record where health data and other information related to the care of a patient is maintained by the patient.It is a concept for capturing, managing and sharing a consumer’s healthcare profile, it contain the consumer profile, a healthcare providers’ section, a healthcare encounter section, a family history section, an emergency profile and public-key infrastructure security.

8. RODS- Record of Decision System

- This explains the reasons for the project decision, summarizes any mitigation measures that will be incorporated in the project, and documents any required Section 4 approval, it must make or reiterate all findings required by federal environmental laws and executive orders and briefly summarized the justification for the finding with reference to the final EIS. 

9. NEDSS- National Electronic Disease Surveillance System

- The goal of the effort is to advance data and information system standards for disease surveillance. Data on disease trends and outbreaks are gathered and tracked by it. Public health workers use this kind of information to safeguard the country's health.

10. HMS- Hardware Meets Software

- With the help of this technology, software and systems can exchange data and interface with industrial hardware. Hardware Meets Software is the acronym for HMS. This technology makes it possible for systems and software to interface with industrial hardware and exchange data. This serves as the basis for implementing the Industrial Internet of Things.

11. HEDIS- Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set

- A designed and maintained set of performance measurements, known as the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set, is used extensively in the managed care sector. Additionally, this research offers a simple method for understanding how medical professionals may give their patients the best care and intervention.

12. CCHIT- Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology

- CCHIT is a certification organization for electronic medical records and electronic health records that is autonomous, non-governmental, and nonprofit.  CCHIT is a certification body that concentrates on EHR adoption in relation to products and technology.

13. IOM- Institute of Medecine

- A non-profit organization that works outside of government to provide scientifically informed analysis and independent counsel on biomedical science, medicine, and health issues.

14. OASIS- Outcome and assessment Information Set

- Is a set of standard data components developed to allow for the systematic comparison of home health care patient outcomes at two points in time in adult skilled Medicare and Medicaid non-maternity home health care patients.

15. CDC- Centers of Disease Control

- Which shall be the primary health protection agency of the Philippines tasked with preventing, protecting, and managing the spread of illnesses and other health concerns originating both domestically and internationally.

16. OMG- Open Management Group

- A portable and interoperable object model with methods and data that work across all development environments and platforms. The organization only provides requirements and not implementations.

17. ANSI- American National Standards Institute is a private, non-profit

- An organization that manages the development of voluntary consensus standards in the United States for products, services, processes, systems, and individuals. 

18. ISO- International Organization for Standardization

-         Is a nongovernmental international organization comprised of national standards bodies that develops and publishes a wide range of proprietary, industrial, and commercial standards. It is made up of representatives from various national standards organizations.

19. IHE- Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise

- Is a non-profit organization established in the United States state of Illinois. It sponsors a healthcare sector endeavor to enhance the way computer systems share information. IHE was founded in 1998 by a group of radiologists and information technology (IT) professionals.

20. SNOMED- Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine Clinical Terms

- Is a structured clinical vocabulary designed for use in an electronic health record. It is the world's most comprehensive and precise clinical health terminology product, and it is an essential component of the electronic care record. It communicates health-care information in a simple, consistent, and complete manner.
